FAQ About Our Preschool Music Classes in Peoria

Mini Musicians is a “music-readiness” class. This means that you’ll gain an introduction to music without having to practice each week. Our young students who take private lessons still learn through exploration and play, but with more of a focus on learning pieces at the piano. Students who complete our Mini Musicians classes are often ready to begin private music lessons.

It depends – Can they sit at the piano longer than 5 minutes? Do they have a piano at home? Can they practice each week? If not – Mini Musicians is probably the best way to start!

Yes – parent involvement is highly encouraged in preschool music lessons!

No. Your child does not need a piano if they are enrolled in Mini Musicians.

Practicing is not required for our preschool music classes; however, it is certainly encouraged — especially if you have a piano at home! Some listening assignments may be given each week.
